Three East Sepik youngsters chosen for U17 honours

Three primary school girls from East Sepik have been scouted by the PNG Football Association to attend the Under 17 training camp in Lae, Morobe Province.

Bridgette Paime, Amantha Mistera and Eswin Matlaun will have a chance to impress selectors at the PNGFA Academy when the camp starts on the 27th of this month.

Sepik Futsal Association president Clarence Hukahu was a proud and satisfied man seeing his products now getting recognition from the country’s soccer scouts.

“They are all Futsal products. I am very proud being the president of SFA

“Since preparing now for provincial games and the girls being noticed indicates what potential we have in store for Team Sepik (next year’s PNG Games) and football in East Sepik,” Hukahu told Loop PNG from Wewak.

Hukahu is also the team manager for Team East Sepik for the PNG Games.

Bridgette is a grade six student at Saint Mary, Eswin currently in grade seven at Moem and Amantha is a grade seven student at Boikin Primary,  all in Wewak Electorate.
