Thousands attend healing rally

Thousands gathered at the Unagi oval in Port Moresby today (September 27) for the last day of the national rally hosted by the Revival Centres of PNG.

Many braved the scorching heat of the sun that came along with the wind and dusty conditions in search of healing and solutions to their problems.

Others attended the rally out of curiosity.

Also present at the rally today was Opposition Leader Don Polye.

The program started with church members from across the country giving their personal testimonies of the miracles they experienced through their faith.

Among those was a woman who was one of the first nine people who started the church in Karaite, Lumi in the Sandaun Province with founding Pastor Godfrey Wippon in 1982.

It ended with the laying of hands and prayer for the healing that was conducted by the church elders.

More than 900 people have been baptised by the church since the rally began on Thursday.

The four day rally will end this evening.
