PNG Football Association and OFC president David Chung officially launched the program which commemorates the Universal Childrens Day.
The program incorporated fun games and social awareness among the seven schools involved.
"Although there are many important rights in the Convention of the Rights of the Child, I wish to focus on every child's right to play,’’ Chung said.
"Soccer is much more than a game, it is a fantastic tool to improve children's lives.
"Every child should have the right to Just Play and have fun," said Chung.
The program is reaching out to children across the Pacific and children are learning about team work and fair play.
Girls and boys are playing together and physical activity and exercise have once again become fun.
Chung thanked the program partners including the Australian Government, UNICEF and the New Zealand Government for their support.
Elementary school teacher Julie Niblett was excited to have the students involved as this was a good way to get them involved in sports and live a healthy physical lifestyle.
