SI Chief Justice acknowledges UPNG

Chief Justice of the Solomon Islands Sir Albert Palmer has acknowledged the Government of PNG and the University of Papua New Guinea for accommodating its students especially the Law students over the years.

He said UPNG has produced lawyers not only in PNG but also in Solomon Islands who are of high calibre.

“This institution, the Government and the people of this nation need to be acknowledged and thanked as well and I do so on my behalf as the Chief Justice of the Solomon Islands and the head of Judiciary acknowledge the courtesy and also the generosity as you have given us by allowing this institution to accommodate our students since then and till now.

He made the comments yesterday when he visited the University of Papua New Guinea with other judges from the Pacific who are products of UPNG.

Sir Palmer was amongst those who toured the new Law School building complex that is currently under construction.

“It is wonderful to see that you are moving on from the old to the new and I wish you well as you move in that transition, it shows that you are moving from strength to strength.  It’s good to see that you are achieving,” Sir Albert said.
