Seven sports start today

Seven sporting codes will start today as week two of the 15th Pacific Games commences during Port Moresby’s declared Public Holiday.

     

Volleyball which started yesterday will continue with match 7-15 today at the Taurama Aquatic Centre courts or BSP arena.

The first match will be played at 9am between American Samoa and Wallis and Futuna. PNG will play at 3pm with New Caledonia.

Tennis which started last week continues today at the Steamships Racquets club.

Sporting codes which begin today are athletics, hockey, karate, netball, body building, beach volleyball and lawn bowls.

Lawn bowls begins at 9am at the Bisini Lawn Bowls Greens between Cook islands and Fiji and ends at 3pm.

Karate will take place at the Taurama Aquatic center courts or BSP arena from 9am with individual qualification.

Hockey and Beach Volleyball will be played at the Sir John Guise outdoor or BSP stadium. First match will be at 10am.

Body building will be at Cartias Technical Secondary School from 10am.

Athletics will also start with hits at 10am at the Sir John Guise outdoor or BSP stadium.

Netball will be played at the Sir John Guise indoor stadium or PNG Power Dome from 1pm.
