Rose Pitoi is fifth Miss Pacific PNG pageant entrant

Rose Lakore Pitoi is the fifth contestant to the Miss Pacific Island Pageant PNG.

Her participation has been made possible with the help of the International Training Institute, sponsoring her through as Miss ITI 2016.

Pitoi is one of a few women who showed interest to join the pageant since the launch of MPIP PNG 2016 in July this year.

With the announcement yesterday, Pitoi is ready to use this platform to voice her opinion on various issues affecting women and girls and to be the agent for change.

Rose is not new to representing PNG speaking on issues affecting women and girls and sees MPIP PNG as a great inspiration to her.

Associated with Soroptimist International in 2014 and 2015 because of her involvement in speech/public speaking, she won the club competition for SI in Port Moresby and Lae, then went on to present her winning speech at the 20th Soroptimist International Conference in Istanbul, Turkey.

“It was a great life changing experience, and eye opening to see a lot of issues affecting women/girls around the globe.”

She is grateful for Soroptimist International and Miss Pacific Islands Pageant as they help to empower young women.

Rose comes from the Central Province and is currently employed by Bmobile-Vodafone as a business consultant.

She wants to see women and girls being treated right, respected in their families, and prosper in using their God-given gifts and abilities.

She would love to manage her own business in the near future, and is inspired by the successful business women in PNG.

Her outfits will be designed by Elizabeth Omeri, a recipient of the Project Runway, staged earlier in July.

Elizabeth’s brand design is “Denani” and Rose will be showcasing this brand during the pageant.
