Roa and Mugau collect Foreign Affairs awards

Divine Word University graduates Jude Roa and Jerominah Mugau are the 2016 Foreign Affairs awards recipients.

Both graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences under the strand of PNG Studies and International Relations Department.

Acting Secretary for Department of Foreign Affairs, William Dihm who presented the award said it was an honor to present the awards.

Roa received the Gold medal for academic excellence whilst Mugau received the Bronze medal.

Dihm highlighted said capacity building is a key objective of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

"DFA also works in partnership with Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand to provide a Foreign Service training program for nine (9) months to prepare the new grandaunts, serving officers and colleagues from line departments and agencies the skills, knowledge and the tradecrafts of diplomacy."
