RMH Khax catch eye of Yu Em Khax judges

Digicel Play’s Yu Em Khax program aims to identify talents and it has done just that for three young men from Lae.

Ragath Solomon, Meshach Dobunaba and Heno Giwi were never a band until yesterday.

“We decided to drop by and make fun of those who were here to audition,” says Solomon.

But they had a change of mind after a brief chat with one of the staff of Yu Em Khax, Sarah Palek.

“So Sarah talked us into trying out for the audition and we just formed a group then. We were never a group prior to this,” Giwi explained.

Even their name RMH Khax is self-explanatory. For first timers, the boys from Morobe’s capital made it through to the main audition singing the PNG version of “Girls on TV” by The Vamps.

The lyrics were altered from Girl on TV to Girl on Facebook, sung previously by PNG’s Outcast crew, a singing sensation crew residing in Lae City.

“It was worth trying,” Solomon added and says the group is considering to continue on from here.

“Last night we discussed this possibility and if we get through, we’ll try do more music of our own,” Dobunaba added.

The boys again thanked Yu Em Khax for the opportunity to  identify talents in Lae.

One of the RMH, Heno Giwi, even tried out a solo act as a stand-up comedian. RMH Khax is now waiting with other acts for the announcements of eight semi-finalists.
