Polye clarifies THE Party registration

Triumph Heritage Empowerment (THE) Party Leader and Opposition leader Don Polye has clarified that THE party is a registered political party.

He said the party is registered both with Investment Promotion Authority and with the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties and Candidates.

His comments come following reports that the Registrar of Political Parties and Candidates has indicated that a certain political party is about to be deregistered for failing to register with the Investment Promotion Authority.

Polye added that THE party is vibrant and ready to “work with coalition partners” to form the next government after the 2017 general election.

“I wish to clarify to my party executives, stake-holders and party supporters throughout the country that THE party is operational and we the executive are in the process of organizing a major fundraising drive on the 28th of this month to kick start our plans for the 2017 election,” Polye said.

He said THE Party won the second largest seats (14 seats) in the 2012 general election and it plans to go a step further in winning the highest number of seats in the 2017 election.
