There is a rogue group of police personnel meeting and conspiring against the current police hierarchy.
This was confirmed by NCD Metropolitan Police Commander Ben Turi today.
Turi said all these personnel are being monitored by investigators tasked to deal with internal security threats posed by the group.
A handful of these officers were suspended on disciplinary cases from the force, he stated.
Turi said among death threats there were also bomb threats to the police headquarters, which have been intercepted.
With the first detainment of a suspect today, more arrests will be made as the case progresses, warned Turi.
He said there are procedures and processes in place which must be followed. No one should take the law into their own hands if they’re unhappy with their hierarchy, not even the police.
