PNG Fashion Week has launched its official website, ending its three-day workshop today.
The website will be in full swing in time for the fashion runway this Saturday, August 20.
The runway event will be featured on the website, showcasing to the world the designs that will go onto the runway.
Ultimately, the website stands to serve the purpose of online marketing, which director Janet Sios says, has been identified as an important platform, over the workshop period.
She says the website will be used to introduce PNG designers and their respective brands and interact with interested buyers.
“Online marketing is a very important tool to use to send out information to the world so we feel strongly that our website is needed to bring about our designers’ work into fashion throughout the world.
“Not only clothing, it’s jewellery, fashion, arts, culture and everything together.
“If people ask about a particular design, what it means, we can answer and describe,” Janet said.
The inaugural PNG Fashion Week runway will be staged this Saturday at the Stanley Hotel and Suites with the theme “Tribal Eclectic”.
The event will be broadcasted on Click Television station.
