Pink announces first single in three years

Pink is to release 'Just Like Fire' later this month, her first single in three years.

It's in aid of Disney's upcoming sequel Alice Through the Looking Glass, marking the first time that Pink has written an original song for a live-action feature film.

The track will be available on April 15 digitally through RCA Records/Walt Disney Records, with a music video directed by Dave Meyers landing in early May.

'Just Like Fire' was co-written by Pink with producers Max Martin, Shellback and Oscar Holter specifically for the film. It follows a cover version of 'White Rabbit' that Pink recorded for the movie's marketing campaign.

The track will appear in Alice Through the Looking Glass and on the soundtrack from Walt Disney Records, which will feature Danny Elfman's score.

Just last month, Pink registered two new tracks with music rights organisation BMI, prompting rumours of a comeback. Aside from a folk album released under the moniker You+Me in 2014, Pink's last album was 2012's The Truth About Love.

Alice Through the Looking Glass stars Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter, and will be released in cinemas on May 27.
