Pacific Balance Fund (PBF) to pay out over K3.1 million to shareholders

The Pacific Balanced Fund (PBF) unit holders will now receive a distribution of K3, 141,873 payment for 2015.

The Melanesian Trustee Services Limited (MTSL) announced today that following another successful year for PBF, its unit holders will receive distribution for 2015 at 0.24 toea per unit.

This is an increase of 0.05 toea from 2014 as per results announced early this year.

 MTSL general manager corporate services and governance, Lawrence Stephens said 20,000 unit holders who own shares will receive their shares.

Stephens said that the Board made this decision based on the availability of funds which updates the distribution to unit holders.

He said the funds’ performance is overwhelming reaching K616 million in net assets in 2015 with a calculated net profit of K61.3 million.

“When compared with local and international growth rates we are doing extremely well and this will enable us to continue to provide annual returns to our unit holders,” Stephens said.

He confirmed that over K43 million has been distributed to unit holders between 2003 and 2015, providing sustainable growth.

Stephens called on unit holders throughout the country to come forward and claim your shares.

A verification exercise roadshow for unit holders is underway throughout the country.
