O’Neill confident PNC will form next Government

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill is confident that his ruling party People’s National Congress (PNC) will form the next government and fulfill its commitment.

O’Neill in a statement said when PNC party was elected in 2012, they made few promises to the people of PNG, but those they did make were ambitious, expensive and very hard to achieve.

“Free and universal education was one of these promises, and today it remains one of our top priorities.

“Over the coming days the party hopes to explain why free education is our most important policy, while giving you the people of Papua New Guinea a chance to discuss the impact of the hard work the government has done in this area.”

“It is important to understand that everyone across the country is benefiting from the investments made into our children, even if you or your family has not directly attended the free schooling.

“This is because well-educated populaces perform better in many aspects of life.”

He said due to the policies and hard work of the PNC lead government the country is set to experience drastic generational change.
