The Papua New Guinea NGCB Prime Ministers XIII squad has been named today by the Chairman of the PNGRFL, Sandis Tsaka at the National Football stadium in Port Moresby.
The team is mixed with experienced and local players and involves players identified from the National competitions the Digicel Cup level, two players from the National Rugby League championships held in Lae and five are Australian based players.
Australian based players include three Townsville Blackhawks players, Rhyse Martin, Willie Minoga and Ray Thompson and the other two are from Cold Coast Titans, Nene McDonald and David Mead.
Apart from the PNG Hunters and the National competition, the Digicel Cup players , two of the players were selected from the championships in Lae who are Yoks Bagave from the Senior Southern Confederation Seniors and Peter Muka Kulu from the Southern Confederation U-20 who will be the youngest in the team.
With the theme for this year’s Prime ministers XIII “Stop Violence” the chairman was pleased to announced the team who will take on Australia side on next weekend on the 24th of September at the National Football Stadium.
