New evidence: HB shooters location may have been different

On the eve of the one year anniversary of the Hanuabada shootings police have confirmed today new evidence that suggests that the main shooter was standing at a more elevated spot then what was previously thought.

Acting Director of Crimes Moses Ibsagi tells PNG Loop that this evidence led to his team of four officers along with seven forensics officers to go over the initial shooting ground again today.

This morning Ibsagi led the team of 11 into the Hanuabad village to go over the site with metal detectors to see if the new suspected site has any bullet fragments that could have been left behind after the fatal shootings.

Ibsagi says that that his personnel have also bagged samples from the new site to go over as evidence.

He says that one year on, he is confident in his team which started four months ago as part the directions issued by the police commissioner Gari Baki for the case to be reopened.

With the new investigation team in place now more evidence and a greater corporation has been given to the team by the villagers who have embraced the officers to try and seek justice for the victims of the shooting.
