New dormitories for DWU

Divine Word University has again demonstrated its commitment to improving higher education in the country by opening the new and refurbished St Arnold Jansen Auditorium and two double storey 20 room dormitories.

DWU president Prof. Cecilia Nembou in her welcome address  thanked the Department of Higher Education, Science, Research and Technology and the Australian government for supporting DWU.

She acknowledged the efforts and contributions of her predecessor Fr Jan Czuba in the delivery of those projects.

Dean of DWU's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Prof Clement Malay thanked the university administration for allocating the refurbished St Arnold Jansen Auditorium to the faculty.

Malau said the new auditorium will be used by the new Bachelor of Science in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) program that DWU started offering this year.

The auditorium and the two new dormitories were refurbished and built by the DWU Maintenance and Construction Department.

The construction began late November 2015 and concluded last week.
