MPBL hit over 50,000 customer number

People’s Micro Bank (PMBL) customer numbers have overtaken the 50,000 mark in its three years of operation in the country.

Chief executive officer Anthony Dela Cruz said: “The four existing PMBL branches have grew our customer outreach by over 55,000 saving customers with total deposits of over K50 million.

“These were achieved in less than three years and serves between 300-400 customers daily.”

He said PMBL will continue to improve its outreach in the country.

“PMBL’s entry into the digital financial ecosystem marks our continuing pursuit to bring banking services to a greater mass of unbanked population,” Dela Cruz said.

“With implementation of multi-functional teller machines and electronic technologies plus our keen interest on continuous innovation, our ability to extend financial services to the millions of financially-excluded people will exponentially expand beyond what traditional banking can achieve.”
