Marum credits win to team work

The SP PNG Hunters’ win over Mackay Cutters this weekend has been credited to great team work.

Hunters returned to Port Moresby today after defeating Cutters 34-20 last Saturday night at Mackay in round five of the Intrust Super Cup 2016 season.

Coach Michael Marum said on arrival that the win was good for the team despite a lot of traveling leading up to the match.

Marum said everyone played their part to achieve victory.

“It was good to see most players putting in extra effort with the bench players coming in as well.

“Our major injury concern is Nickson Borana with an ankle injury, who went off the field in the second half, but we’ve covered his position well,” Marum said.

He added that a lot of work still needs to be done in the defense and attack and a lot of improvement is needed.
