Man stabbed at city bus stop

An Enga man was stabbed on Sunday (1st November) afternoon at the Rainbow bus stop in the National Capital District.

The 27 year old man, from Wabag district, was stabbed in retaliation by a group of Chimbu men over fights at their Gerehu stage 5 area.

Police report that the man is in a stable condition and is now with police going over details of the attack on him by three men known to him.

In another incident a woman from Enga was arrested at the Rainbow suburb yesterday (2nd November) after she allegedly assaulted her neighbour.

The victim, also from Enga, was fighting with the suspect after she alleged that the latter was spreading false stories about her.

The victim sustained a broken jaw and dislocated shoulder.

Meantime the suspect was taken to the Gerehu police station and will be charged with assault.
