Madang FC welcomes the Komolong Brothers

Madang FC management, directors and coaching staff have welcomed home the Komolong brothers – Alwin and Felix, to boost the team and bring them into round two of the National Soccer League.

Alwin Komolong is the bigger brother and the PNG under 23 captain in the recent Pacific Games in Port Moresby while Felix plays on the backline and is one of the top backliners along with his brother up front in the Pacific Games.

The two brothers returned from studies in the USA and New Zealand respectively and are now in camp with Madang FC team.

Madang FC assistant coach Amos Romo told PNG Loop that the two brothers have joined the team and resumed training on Monday.

“We are more than happy for them to join the team, and they add more experience and bonus into the team.

“Our last game against Lae City Dwellers, they were with us in Lae, but were on the bench and this week Monday we resume training after one week off and they are coping well,” Romo said.

Romo added that Alwin was the captain of Madang FC last year and lead the team into its first grand final against Lae City Dwellers and his return to the team has boosted the morale of players and team management to aim high.

He said they are a complete team now and looking forward to round two of the NSL season.
