After winning a Golden Globe last night (January 10), Lady Gaga confirmed that we will get a new album this year.
The star won Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for American Horror Story: Hotel.
Gaga told reporters later (via Entertainment Weekly): "You know, I am putting out an album this year. I won't tell you when!"
Just as the release date for her fifth album is anybody's guess, so is her style for her next record.
"That's a difficult thing to say as I don't know that you yet know what I will look like for my next album, as I'm still creating all of those things," she explained.
"It's something that is a gradual change always with me."
Gaga added how playing The Countess in American Horror Story was important for her career.
"What was nice about playing The Countess is it reminded me that in my own life and in my music, I'm always - at times - playing a character, and I become them fully," she said.
"And living inside of her was liberating, I'll tell you, because she doesn't give a shit about anything."
