Kylie Minogue is fighting Kylie Jenner over trademark

Kylie Minogue and Kylie Jenner are facing off to find out who's the true Kylie.

Jenner is trying to trademark the term 'Kylie' for advertising and entertainment services, but Minogue is taking action to ensure the reality star doesn't succeed.

According to World Intellectual Property Review, Minogue's representatives KDB are claiming the trademark would create confusion between the two Kylies and dilute her brand.

They also take a big old dig at the Keeping Up With The Kardashians cast member by referring to her as a "secondary reality television personality".

Minogue's first album, coincidentally called Kylie, was released nine years before Jenner was born in 1988.

FYI the singer's also trademarked 'Kylie Minogue darling', 'Lucky - the Kylie Minogue musical' and 'Kylie Minogue'.

Minogue seems to have thrown some shade at the whole situation by tweeting her apt 'Light Years' lyric: "Hello..... My name is KYLIE".

By this point 'Kylie' has lost all meaning.
