Kumul flies high today

The Kumul flew high today as hundreds packed the entrance to the Constitutional Park in Port Moresby to celebrate the Morobe Day.

Proud Morobe people are in their distinctive provincial colours: Blue, yellow and green shirts and caps, while others had their faces painted.

Different cultural groups of different districts in the province, in their traditional attires, are marching into the park to celebrate the day.

Meanwhile, vehicles decorated with the provincial flag are lined at the entrance, causing a mini traffic jam at the road leading to Waigani and Morata intersections.

The event, hosted by the University of PNG students, boasts the theme: Acknowledging the uniqueness of our cultural diversity and heritage.
