Kerema police are still trying to track down the nine convicted men that escaped from custody in January.
All the nine convicts were convicted on drug related offenses.
Police are also alleged to be part of the break out prompting an internal investigation into the January 27th break out.
Gulf police commander Silas Wayagure says once confirmed, policemen involved will face serious administrative and criminal charges.
Wayagure says there was a serious breach of protocol and jail cell procedures involved in this matter adding that all personnel will be dealt with accordingly.
