Jubilee Secondary School came out winners of the Bible quiz during the 31st Foundation Day celebration at Don Bosco Technical School last week.
The Foundation Day celebrations also included a variety show that involved all Catholic secondary schools of Port Moresby.
The schools that took part were St Charles Luanga Secondary School, Caritas Technical Secondary School and Jubilee Secondary School. These joined the host school Don Bosco Technical School, Gabutu.
The program began with an opening dance. Principal Fr. Angel Sanchez then opened the quiz and addressed the students.
In his talk, he highlighted the love Don Bosco has for the Bible. He spoke of Don Bosco’s ability to discuss and debate on its contents, background and its translation. He invited all to understand and study the Bible and put its contents into practice.
Then followed the Bible quiz.
It had three rounds – an easy, average and difficult round. After the different rounds were completed, the audience was given a chance to answer questions and were given prizes as well.
The winner at the end of the final round was Jubilee Secondary School, while the runner up was Don Bosco Technical School.
The four participating schools received a certificate of participation and each participant received a prize.
