Hospital Poroman Foundation launches cancer initiative

The Hospital Poroman Foundation has launched its cancer initiative called Shave, Trim or Dye your hair for Cancer campaign.

It's aimed at raising funds to drive the awareness of cancer in the country.

The event will see people from all walks of life get a sponsor to shave, trim or colour their hair for children diagnosed with cancer.

The funds raised will go towards supporting cancer patients and medical professionals in PNG to prevent, detect and treat cancer and advocate for cancer control and for persons diagnosed with cancer.

The funds will also help to educate communities about cancer and how to reduce cancer risks and recognise symptoms of cancers.

HPF chairman Charlie Gorogo encouraged everyone to participate in this worthy cause by raising funds within their own personal networks to help save a life.
