Have your say about Regional Priorities

The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS) invites Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) from across the Pacific region to be part of the discussions on a selection of thematic regional issues that will be considered at the 46th Pacific Island Forum Leader

The PIFS Non-state Actors (NSA) Programme Unit is coordinating a Regional Civil Society Forum that will be held in the lead up to the event.  Ideas generated during the forum will be presented to Troika Leaders, i.e. the past (RMI), current (Palau) and future chair (PNG) of the Pacific Islands Forum. This is an opportunity for your voice to be heard.

In late July 2015, the Secretariat called for “Expressions of Interest” (EOI) in the Regional CSO Forum in which CSOs nominated their primary regional issue for discussion. The chart below illustrates the composition of regional thematic issues that were raised by CSOs through the EOI submission process.

Feedback received from civil society on these thematic areas will be discussed at the regional forum before presenting collective positions to the Troika Leaders for consideration. This is a unique and unprecedented opportunity to for civil society to participate in the Forum Leaders official schedule of events. Click on any of the thematic areas below to access more information and submit your views on the issues.
