Governor Muthuvel continues to develop WNB

West New Britain Governor Sasindran Muthuvel continues to bring development into the province despite criticism from various critics.

Governor Muthuvel alongside the Central Bank Governor Loi Bakani accompanied delegates from the IFC, World Bank and Asia Development Bank into the province recently.

The delegates were in the province to inspect various ADB Projects.

The projects include Hoskins Airport, 66kv power line Project from Bialla to Kimbe, 12 Bridges along the New Britain Highway, the bio gas plant generating 3megawatts power at Mosa and the Kumbango and oil mill operations.

Muthuvel said WNB has the potential to soon becoming the first province to depend 100% on Renewal energy for its power needs.

He said the World Bank and IFC executives were excited and appreciated the challenges the province faced.

“Most of them (delegates) was their first time out of Port Moresby and I hope they make a positive report about PNG,” he said.

“All unanimously agreed WNB is one of the most progressive province in PNG.”
