Games Relay to end 100 days journey this Friday

The Oil Search Pacific Games Relay will end its 100 days this Friday at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium, Konedobu.

The ceremony will begin at 5pm when the baton will be received on its arrival by NCDC Governor Powes Parkop.

This ceremony is open and free to the public. Everyone is invited to come along and share the relay’s final leg with a celebration.

Gates open at 4pm with 15,000 seats available. Parking for the public will be located at the oval opposite the stadium with security provided.

Residents of Port Moresby are encouraged to come along and be part of this event that has shared the experience of the 2015 Pacific Games.

The Relay, led by Tamzin Wardley, has united the people through its remarkable journey to 21 provinces in the country.

There’ll be live music entertainment,  music and fireworks to end the night.

The stadium will also host the medal presentation for the  triathlon event on Sunday and soccer finals on the 12th, 16th and 17th of July.

The stadium will also provide a  live telecast on two big screens during the Games for the public who do not have tickets to watch events including the opening and closing ceremonies.
