Games chiefs gear up for action

Today will see all Pacific Games venue commanders meet to go over their progressive operations briefs on the set up at their venues.

Most of the sites were inspected last week, while command mobile units have been operating in and around the city.

Last week, the Sir John Guise stadium, Bisini sports fields, and the Taurama Aquatic Centre were all checked out with the site inspectors as well as security command members.

To date each of the security forces has indicated that they are in operations mode with the overall games commander David Manning adding that this week all his units will be on “all systems go’’.

Loop PNG understands that most of the security operations drones are also on standby to be launched in full operation mode. The mobile operations vehicles have been kitted out and are ready to take to the venues.
