Fiji-PNG Business Council’s next annual general meeting will be held today at the Grand Pacific Hotel

Council President, Nouzab Fareed, has invited all financial members to attend the AGM which will be followed by a network event.

“This meeting is an opportunity to discuss our performance over the past year, celebrate our main achievements, election of office bearers and plan for the future,” Fareed said.

Fareed will take advantage of the presence of all members to discuss moving the council forward in terms of creating more opportunities and strengthening the relationship between the two countries.

The council was formed to promote trade, commerce and investment between Fiji and Papua New Guinea.

It is the council’s interest to continue to lobby wherever possible and ensure of private sector can reach and secure markets in the PNG Markets.

“You are encouraged to explore your opportunities and I urge all members to attend such events and share your experiences with other members,” Fareed said.

“PNG has great opportunities and we should not miss out on the opportunities that await us.”

The council currently has 98 members.
