Organizer for the event, Annette Sete , said doctors from St. Mary’s Hospital at Vunapope sat down with the people, telling them all about breast cancer and helped show them how to feel for lumps on breasts.
The doctors stressed that early detection saves lives.
“We then had a quiz to test the participant’s knowledge on breast cancer and then a fashion show with a parade of all shades of pink,” said Sete.
She said there was now a growing interest from women to form an East New Britain Cancer Society to help the fight against breast and cervical cancer.
