FC POM whacks Rapatona 2-0 in NSL

FC Port Moresby has registered a win in the Telikom National Soccer League today at Bisini oval thanks to two penalty kicks from key player Neil Hans.

FC Pom defeated Rapatona 2-0 in round three of the Southern Conference double header.

Hans scored the first goal for his team after a penalty was given for player obstruction in the 43rd minute to take the score to 1-0 at half time.

The second half was intense as Rapatona beefed up its attack but Pom’s strong backline prevented them from scoring.

Another foul play by Rapatona gave strong kicker Hans another opportunity and he scored straight into the net 10 minutes into the second half to make it 2-0.

The pressure was on but Pom maintained pace and after several missed attempts settled for 2-0 victory at full time.

In other results, Gigira Laitepo drew with Huaweii Ps 1-1 and in Lae, Welgris defeated Besta PNG United 2-0 while Admiralty and Lae City Dwellers were scoreless. At the National Sports Institute, Madang FC defeated home team Goroka 3-0.
