DWU faculty’s symposium underway

The Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences of Divine Word University is hosting its second academic symposium this morning.

Students and staff of the faculty will be given the opportunity to share their research and academic projects with the university community and the public at DWU’s Madang campus.

The symposium aims to encourage research and provide opportunity for selected best final year student research outcomes to be presented to the general public.

Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS) will have panel discussions in between the three sessions according to its three departments – Communication Arts, Social and Religious Studies and PNG studies.

Last year, the FASS symposium featured a special tribute made to the late renowned anthropologist Nancy Sullivan. This was in commemoration of her numerous contributions to research in PNG, especially in Madang, through the books that she produced with staff of DWU.
