Dwellers to hold dedication service

The St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lae is preparing for a dedication service to the 2016 National Soccer League (NSL) premiers.

The planned dedication service will commence soon after the Lae City Dwellers arrive in Lae this afternoon around 4pm.

The team has defended their title and retained the cup as the premiers of the prestigious soccer competition in the country.

Team manager Peter Seske, coach Peter Gunemba and team's spiritual leader Reverend Gary Mangiri will lead the team to church for the service.

Lae City Dwellers, a Papua Compound-based NSL team, apart from the game of soccer, commit themselves to God as they know that He is the source of their life and game.

And since they entered the competition two years ago, they have put God first.

"We thank God for the guidance as He is the source of our lives and games. The church dedication is about thanking God for our victory.

"We have gone through many uncomfortable journeys in our personal lives and our games but we are so thankful for the guidance and comfort we see in Him," coach Gunemba said.
