When responding to Lae MP Loujaya Kouza’s Questions without Notice today at the start of this session of Parliament, Marape said he has nothing to hide but to tell the fact that all the districts have received K1million.
He revealed that due to the economic crisis the country is going through, the government has cut its spending which included the DSIP funds.
However, he said a total of K30 million each has been disbursed to all the districts since 2013 unbiasly as claimed by the opposition MPs.
Marape added that every MP in Parliament has been receiving equal distribution of DSIP funds.
“Money alone is not the reason why we exist as leaders,” he said.
He said when the revenue has been dropping due to the fall of commodity prices and others, members should understand and take that into consideration.
