Cyber crime in spotlight today

Minister for Communication and Information Technology Jimmy Miringtoro will be officially launching the cybercrime policy today (Thursday 15th).

The drafted policy outlines the penalties to be imposed when offences are committed using electronic devices, systems and networks.

A nationwide consultation will follow, paving the way for public input before the final draft is tabled in Parliament.

Miringtoro said the final draft will be tabled in Parliament in February 2016.
