A car was stolen at the Gerehu main bus stop in urban Port Moresby early this morning.
The Hagen man and his Tari wife were trying to go to the airport for an early flight out when they were held up at about 5am.
The matter has been reported to the Gerehu police station and police are looking into it.
In another matter a man was arrested for assaulting another man in front of the Gerehu bakery.
A Tari man bashed up a Morobe man but was stopped by police who intercepted him and detained him at the Gerehu station.
Meantime a youth from Goilala in the Central Province was picked up at the Gerehu sports centre for drinking home brew.
The 17 year old is also detained at the Gerehu station waiting processing.
