Chamber hails Morobe show

The Lae Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has welcome the Morobe Provincial Agricultural Show and asked everyone to enjoy the show.

In its Weekly newsletter President Allan McLay said the Morobe Show is always a great event for everyone to enjoy.

"The Morobe Show is always a great occasion with events for everyone to enjoy, from the very young to the very old."  

"Operated along the line so more of a traditional type Agricultural show,  it has everything that keep you interested from a range of displays, ringside events complete with the international entertainers, horse riding and cattle judging as well as diverse cultural events," McLay said.

He said the LCCI take this time and opportunity to wish all show goers a great time and at the same time urged them to be security cautious of themselves and their properties as well.

"Take care amongst the crowd and safeguard your personal possession. For peace of mind leaves behind in your house or flat or engage security or arm alarms," he said.

The Morobe Show is always the last in a calendar year and it always draws a large number of people, both locally and internationally each year.

It also brings in traditional cultural groups from around the country as well for the two days event.

The show will be officially opened by the Chancellor of the Papua New Guinea University of Technology (Unitech) Sir Bogora Nagan on today.
