The Catholic Bishops Conference (CBC) says Easter is a time for people to reflect, repent, and renew their lives in Jesus Christ.
General Secretary, Fr.Victor Roche said this is Holy Week and is the most important week in the Christian calendar.
“Some of you may have experienced betrayal by your own loved ones as it happened to Jesus by Judas, the trusted treasurer.
“Some of you may have experienced unjust accusations by your friends, relatives or employers just as Jesus was unjustly accused and put to death.
“You can also think of the times you have not been faithful to God, family and work; or the times you have committed serious sins.
“God has forgiven you when you repent like the repentant thief on the cross. So you also must forgive others,” said Roche.
