Calvin Harris turns down Taylor Swift collaboration

They may be one of the most powerful couples in pop, but don't expect Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift to work on a new song together any time soon.

That's at least according to fresh reports that the Scottish DJ politely declined his label's idea for him to team up with his superstar girlfriend for his next single.

Harris's team are reportedly eager for him to get a big US female star on his next release, but he told them he didn't want to mix business and pleasure after the hassle caused by teaming up with ex-flame Rita Ora back in 2014.

Rita's number one single 'I Will Never Let You Down' was produced by Calvin but he refused her permission to perform the track on TV after they acrimoniously split shortly after its release.

Although he isn't keen on collaborating with Taylor, Calvin is said to be in discussions with Beyoncé instead, according to The Sun.

The former Destiny's Child star is a fan of Harris - who is signed to her husband's US label Roc Nation - while the DJ is said to have "loved" her feature on Naughty Boy's 'Runnin' (Lose It All)' last year.

Calvin Harris's new single will serve as the follow-up to his 2015 hit 'How Deep Is Your Love' with Disciples, which peaked at two in the UK and 27 in the US.

Meanwhile, Calvin and Taylor have celebrated their one-year anniversary with a homemade cake. Doesn't matter how rich you are, it's always the simple things that mean the most.
