Bobby Teardrops to be shown at Paradise cinemas

There's never a bad time to dive back into the archives and watch some good old classic movies.

This is why it’s good to know that Paradise Cinema is bringing PNG’s favourite movie back to the big screen this year through “Paradise Cinema CLASSICS,” so even more people have the opportunity to see this great film of yesteryears at the theatres.

Paradise Cinema will play the classic Turkish movie Bobby Teardrops starting today, September 22 — perfect for Throwback Thursday.

There will be several sessions to be played throughout the week so that everyone will have the chance to watch. This would be played in the cinemas for a limited time only.

Cinema Manageress Prue Go said: “If you grew up or lived in Port Moresby a few decades ago, you will know the Bobby Teardrops movie. It touched the hearts of many when it was shown during the yesteryears, and even at present time, people from all walks of life can’t help but remember the fate of little Bobby and his mother.

“We asked our ardent moviegoers via our Facebook page about the movie few weeks ago and after 3 days, it has been shared 800 times, got almost 2,000 likes and has been viewed by 30,000 people! This was our inspiration to check for a copy of the film and our business partner Damodar Group from Fiji really moved heaven and earth to get a copy of the film.”

Bobby Teardrops will be shown both at Paradise Cinema Vision City and Waigani Central, starting Thursday, September 22, for only K10 per person.

The said film has been rated PG by the Censors Board.
