Promotion of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in November has started with billboards going up around the nation’s capital.
The first billboard went up last Friday outside the Jacksons International Airport.
A number of sites around Port Moresby have been identified for the other billboards to go up.
Billboards will also be going up in Lae, Morobe Province to further boost the excitement heading into November.
A number of key milestone events are expected to be launched soon.
The events include the launch of the official mascot, the volunteer program, ticket sales and the trophy tour.
The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Papua New Guinea 2016 will be held from November 13 to December 3.
