Baki says sorcery killings must be addressed by all.

The increase in sorcery related deaths in the highlands is a matter police and all factions of the community must overcome collectively.

All relevant agencies need to come together and see how they can deal with this issue.

Baki says police will only become involved when this matter becomes a criminal matter whereby a death has actually occurred.

But the challenge Baki says is that this is a customary and social issue that needs to be addressed by everyone from the national government, the churches, NGO’s and provincial and local level governments.

He admits not much attention has been given to this which he says has been long practiced in many parts of the country.

Baki said we all need to look at our customs and traditions and see why this things are happening.

He said there also needs to be stronger political leadership for the country to move away from our cultures that allow for such cases to happen.
