ATS Christ the King Anglican School blessed

A visit today by representatives of Girls Friendly School from Australia turned out to be a blessing for Christ the King Primary School.

The Anglican Church -run school in ATS today received sports equipment and funds totalling A$ 11,000 from GFS, also an Anglican run institution but based in Australia.

The presentation made by Gail Orchard, Australian National Chair of GFS and Val Gribble, GFS World President, coincided with the launch of the school’s sports uniform.

Grateful for the donation, school Principal Bernard Karad said the funds will go towards buying more sports material for the school and part of it towards teacher’s salary.

The school, which is not yet registered under the National Education System, caters for its teacher salary through such donations by fellow church institutions.

“Because we are not registered, companies and business houses are reluctant to donate so we appreciate the church doing this for us.”
