Wingti urges Church leaders to serve faithfully

Western Highlands Governor, Pais Wingti, has called on Church leaders to respect their work in serving God and his people.

Wingti said through his experience he has seen many leaders of the Church involve in politics and this as to stop.

The Governor stated this during the 500 years of Luthern Church celebrating the Reformation Day in Hagen adding that if Martin Luther had a great vision for the Church with strong principals than its the challenge for the Church Leaders to do the same.

One of the invited guests of the 500 years of the Lutheran Churchs Reformation Day Celebration was the Governor of Western Highlands Pais Wingti and His Deputy Governor and the President of Mt Giluwe LLG Michael Mai.

Governor Wingti told the Lutheran Church Members at Queens Park Oval that prior to the arrival of the Gospel of Chirst, history tells that the ancestors had a transparent government system that were guided by highest principals and laws. They were not the lazy people and become liability to the society.

He said in this generation leaders are becoming the victims of the Western Society’s influences by becoming begers and waiting for help.

Wingti added that the ancestors have successfully inherited the land with many blessings because they have committed themselves to time and effort for a purpose.

“Leaders of today are not living to the principals of the ancestors and the Bible and this needs to stop”.

Wingti furhter added that there are some leaders who are becoming lazy and liabilities to the society are the Church Leaders and this is not right.

He said in this 500 years of reformation, the Church Leaders need to reform by changing their behaviours which deemed evil and commit themselves to the work of Christ and trust his provident love and care.

Mean time Wingti also committed K250 Thousand towards the proposed Churchs Headquarters which will be built to mark the 500 years of Luthern Churchs Reformation.
