What can we do for Western Province?

The need for strong partnership collaboration and impact projects was outlined by Western Province Governor, Tabo Awi Yoto.

The Governor spoke about the need to focus on development plans in terms of the main development agendas of health, education and infrastructure.

He challenged main development partners to take stock of the resource gains that they have as a result of the province and bring the resources back into the province to make it work for the benefit of the people.

Meantime, the Acting Provincial Administrator, Robert Alphonse, challenged that there needs to be a paradigm shift in terms of a progressive public service focused on management and accountability.

He called on the alignment of policies and stakeholders with a need for government, private sector and civil society.

The forum that is currently on in Kiunga will see the development of the Western Province strategy, one that both leaders hope will facilitate for the way forward in terms of growth for the province.
