Unity Foursquare celebrates 10th Anniversary

The Unity Foursquare Church at Gerehu stage 5, in Port Moresby, celebrated its 10th anniversary on Sunday.

The church which was started in 2007 with just a few followers now has more than 500 members in its congregation.

Started by a missionary couple, Pastor Mike and Debbie Field, the church to date has also had a number of ministries that emerged from its humble beginnings.

Ministries include, the United Women Foursquare, O’Connor Community School, and others.

An emotional missionary and Senior Pastor, Ps Mike Field said the Church has faced many challenges throughout the years but they didn’t give up in serving their call as missionaries.

He added that the church has grown from strength to strength, and thanked the Christians that stood by them, being faithful to the call of the Lord.

Minister for Forestry and Kiriwina Goodenough MP, Douglas Tomuriesa, was a guest of honor.

He encouraged the Christians to continue to pray to God and commit our country to Him for his divine leadership.

He also presented Ps Mike with a gift and a donation of K30,000 cash to the church.
