The Papua New Guinea University of Technology (Unitech) vice chancellor, Albert Schram, says the satellite university will deliver Unitech’s diploma progams.
“The best graduates will have a special quota for admission to Unitech degree programs,” Schram tells Loop PNG.
“Simbu invested heavily in primary and secondary education and wanted a university.
“Unitech wants to externality its programs to contribute to national development and creation of a knowledge based and sustainable society.”
The university’s quota and requirements will be announced at a later date.
The vice chancellor says the opening comes exactly three years after Sir Nagora Bogan reconstituted a legitimate Council for Unitech.
